Facilities
From 2008, the Centre for Science Communication has occupied its own building at 303a Great King Street, Dunedin. We also have rooms in the Department of Zoology, which is across the road. And, given our rapid expansion, we have recently acquired another building behind ours, which we anticipate overflowing to in the next few months.
We currently have six dedicated editing suites, a professional sound suite, a small sound booth, a viewing room, a seminar room, a dedicated lab of editing computers for 1st-year filmmaking students, another suite of computers for writing and popularizing science students to develop digital publications (including filmmaking, podcasting, blogging, photography and e-publications), a meeting room, a gear room, plus office space for staff and students.
