Wiebke F Hendry initially completed her Master of Science degree in Marine Science on Whale Watching in the American Northwest Pacific region. For the last six years she has combined her passion for wildlife, people and the outdoors working as a wildlife guide on Dunedin's Otago Peninsula. After completing postgraduate studies in Natural History Filmmaking and Communication at Otago University in 2004, Wiebke started her filmmaking venture Green Concrete Films, working as camera operator, producer/director and editor. Recent productions include the film Wind Dancer (2009), a documentary on the life of New Zealand choreographer Shona Dunlop MacTavish. Wiebke is also an accomplished singer/songwriter performing under the artist name Vebka and has recently produced her live album Windblown.
