Overview
So by now you must realize that we are pretty serious about communicating factual material in effective ways. When it comes to writing we wish to unleash all the creative potential and techniques that fiction writers have long employed. One way to do this is to learn by example.
This paper is centred on "little nonfictions" - studies of small-scale works of nonfiction written with a general audience in mind.
Objectives:
- Provide an understanding of those elements that define "object-study" or a "little nonfiction".
- Gain a knowledge of best practice of various means of using creative nonfiction in the essay.
- Produce an example of "object-study" or a "little nonfiction".

This paper is taught in association with the Department of English and is an extended version of ENGL 327, which is taught in concert with it.
